Why Singularis?

'Singularis' is a Latin word which, if you were to search for a definition online, would likely give descriptors such as 'alone' or 'one'... This doesn't sound like the greatest name for a wedding officiant to use for their business, but in this context, the word is meant to describe how something is alone in it's uniqueness. And, considering that a couple's wedding day is a celebration of the two of them coming together as one new, committed family unit, it made sense to me... Hence, Singularis Ceremonies.

Many couples today are looking for a unique wedding ceremony - one that is crafted with them and their relationship in-mind. This primarily means a talk tailored to your relationship story, but could also include personalized marriage vows, or the addition of unique elements. You can do whatever you want! 

Besides the ceremony itself, alternative wedding venues are becoming more and more popular. From renovated barns, to scenic outdoor locations, couples are taking advantage of the diverse variety of venues now available to them that may better suit their personalities or lifestyle. I am willing to travel, whenever possible, to locations throughout Central Minnesota to perform such ceremonies. Just ask!

I will always interview with a couple prior to their wedding, to learn more about them, their story and their wishes for the ceremony - to ensure that everything they want to include will be (and that anything they don't, will not!). This could range from the tone of the talk, to working closely with your photographer on the day, and anything in-between. 

After the ceremony concludes, I will complete and return your marriage certificate to the county for you, and provide you copies for reference.

If you are looking instead to arrange a simple, private elopement, with just a few special friends or family members in attendance and a short legal ceremony, I am happy to provide this also!
